I have been working as a technical events professional for some of Scotland’s
best production companies. In multiple roles, I have been in the employ of Tower
Productions, Cameron and Precise Events & Audio, amongst others working with
their in-house team alongside other freelancers to deliver various different projects.
Experience in live sound by working as sound engineer for many of Scotland's major
events conpanies. Working in locations such as Vamos Festival Perth, Mansfield
Traquair, the National Museum of Scotland and the Gleneagles, Crowne Plaza and
Worked in venues such as The Pleasance Theatre and Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh,
and Glasgow’s The Glad Café.
Comfortable with large selection of popular digital consoles: the Yamaha QL series, Digico S series series, Behringer X32 and Midas M32, multiple analogue consoles such as Allen & Heath, Yamaha and Midas, outboards from BSS, Behringer and DBX. Experience with radio mic and IEM systems, particularly Sennheiser EW and Shure PSM series’.
Dante Level 1 Certified.
Developed my broadcasting experience as a Scenic Operator with BBC Scotland, based at Pacific Quay in Glasgow.
In particular the large scale events produced by NL Productions and Tower Productions.
Rigging and striking heavy mains power, light and sound in multiple environments.
From indoor sports halls such as the Emirate Arena in Glasgow for the Davis Cup to the challenging weather and terrain conditions of The Woodland Experiences (link).
DIGITAL MEDIA OPERATOR
Confident vision mixer with major brands Roland and Barco, including directing multiple cameras and/or presentations and video using Playback Pro or QLab.
With Cameron and their corporate clients, have become skilled at editing and operating Powerpoint and Keynote for large presentation purposes at major conference hotels: The Marriott, The Crowne Plaza and The Doubletree Hilton.
Working with clients with little experience means a broad amount of knowledge in Windows and Mac operating systems is required to help them through.
Developed skills in maintenance of a broad range of power and light equipment, from PAT testing fixtures to checking and soldering faulty cables.
